  1. This story is special to me. Actually it was a combinations of stories in the TTOTC chase book that led me here today. We got there but the parking lot was full. So decided to head to museum hill as we stalked Fenns home….JK… Anyway, had a great time. Found a wonderful necklace at the WM so after looking in the shops downtown we will go back and get it in the morning. Back at the ranch or should I say the biddies stomping grounds… As we walked by the brave in the wood …oh by the way it turned out another one showed up. Too many chiefs and not enough Indians…hmmm closer we got I had to check out the spot. I looked at her and explained why this was a possible place. As we strolled in front of the no place for the meek and road far was not that far away…maybe within 1000 ft Like Shakespeare would say. I told her I was going to lift her up and she was to look inside. No plaque was seen no meaning of why. It was there and with great relief and what she saw was……..

Oh by the way azuredeb, We looked under the tiled structure by journeys end as well and a piece of pottery not too far away. Just sitting there….

    • Lol well I guess your biddies are different than mine. I am glad you are enjoying your stay! Make sure you go back for that necklace. 🙂
If you find that chest make sure you let me in on the secret so I can see how far off I was! lol
      Enjoy your visit.

      • We have had a great time here in Santa Fe. Leaving for Albuquerque in the morning heading down to the Sacramento mountains to another search spot of a Apache Indian battle in the mid 1800’s. I found this place in 1997 and could not find any documentation of what had happened. I did find a few things to suggest something big had occurred there. The biggest find was a 3 inch spear head, broken plates, spent rounds and a 1855 nickel. Spent less than an hour there if I recall to go back someday and bring a metal detector. Also about 1/2 mile away on Google earth seen a spot that needed to be looked at closer. Hope the ranch owner lets me take a look.
Anyway, The other day we went to my original search spot. Too my surprise the water was running fast down heavy loads. All the parts of the poem are there. The abundance of tarry scant can be seen. Yet, I will have to wait until January to make my move. Oh what a great day it will be.

Hope to see other chasers at the event at the book store this evening.

        • Geydelkon, you sure find some interesting stuff. Good going!

Hubby and I were at the book signing tonight, but didnt stay afterwards. Lots of people there and I dont do crowds. Also he has to be up at 4 am for work.

I really did just want to get to observe Forrest. He seemed in a very good mood tonight. Lots of smiling, it was good to see.
Other event videos I have seen, he seemed a little distracted.

One thing he did say was that people dont point out the mistakes he deliberately made to him. But we all know we have discussed them ourselves, guess he doesnt read blogs..lol

He did repeat that “several” people have had the first 2 clues right…so now its several instead of 2.
          Interesting.

Enjoy your trip, and good luck on your various hunts!
