Links By Chris Yates

back in 2012, f said “The Treasure chest full of gold and precious jewels is more than 66,000 links north of Santa Fe”

i found something this connects to in the poem that seems to be more than a coincidence

imo, f in the comment is connecting 66 to links. in the poem it looks like “german” is hidden and pointing you towards “nigh”

“nigh” is the 66th word of the poem. nigh means left, or on the left

in german, “links” means left or on the left

also note that f said 66k links “north”

im posting an add’l image showing that nigh seems to be hiding both “north” and “nord”. in german north is norden (nord in french)

german

WoodyBogg – Since I have been on The Chase for more than four years, and I have yet to reach my search area, I have made the foreplay last a really, really long time! And because you mentioned “crystal clear” in your post, I thought of how I emailed Forrest once, asking him if I could borrow his Crystal Radio to take out to my spot, since there is no cel service “in there”. Here is the text from a great post The Wolf did about that Crystal Radio:

Interesting thread because this was something I had been working on for a very long time. My favourite words that I believed would unlock the poem are “cold” (in the poem) crystal (out).

The word crystal is derived from the Ancient Greek word ?????????? (krustallos), meaning both “ice” and “rock crystal”, from ????? (kruos), “icy cold, frost”

A “tightly focused” beam of light (from a Fenn recommended “flashlight”) on a crystal forms a rainbow – perhaps Fenn’s rainbow.

My favourite story is “Sunday Kind of Love” where Skippy built Forrest a “crystal” radio and he fell in love with Fran Warren listening to her on that “special” crystal radio. He recommends we google “crystal” and “Fran Warren.” When one does it talks about “Captain Kidd” and “Finian’s Rainbow.” I love those kind of connections.

Phantoms are crystals and who said “only the Phantom Knows?”

Sounds good Lisa, but make sure to check the correct warren.

Chris Yates -And that protection might just come in handy, because perhaps Forrest’s thumb pointing to my circumpunct-like blaze is not Forrest’s thumb at all. Perhaps it is the missing golden phallus of Osiris…

Or it may just be a cover up!!

Chris Yates – Perhaps I will have to take WoodyBogg, the Montana Hunter,in there with me, to explore the Forest Fen next to Forest Creek, in the exact shape of Forrest’s right thumb extended outward, which I can clearly see on my topo map from the proverbial air.

All these blog comments are just foreplay, Chris Yates….

Well now! I like foreplay! I try to make it last as long as I can ! If you reach the finally to soon you feel cheated somehow!! Lisa you did a good job on the colors and put some light on a piece I was wondering about that brought forth crystal clear understanding . I think I will take the road less traveled. I’m not very popular sometimes! I think you would make a good person to go on a search with. You are one with lots of positive energy applied with common sense and you’ve hiked enough in the mountains I wouldn’t have to worry about you 24-7!

NIGH connects to LINKS (german for left), and NIGH connects to NORTH

    f’s comment was … 66k links north of …

in addition to the hidden “north” words in the acrostic, there is more
    in the text

the language origin of north comes from left. they used to use the word for left, also to mean north

this was because as you faced the dawn, the sun rising, North was to your left

and the poem says drawing nigh, nigh being on the left, and the letters within drawing, d-a-w-n. in order

    • Chris Yates – It occurs to me that Forrest’s mother was German, and that his relatives have all passed, including his mother, father, sister and brother. So Forrest is now ‘left’ behind.. And he is of German descent. I also thought of the Brown Shirts in the time of Hitler,… In which case Berlin, Germany would be the home of Brown. I read a great book about that also by Erik Larson. And f being the sixth letter of the alphabet means ff equals 66. And there are at least a thousand links on The Chase, with information like this connecting with other information. And I really like your charts and thoughts by the way!

      • Chris Yates – Forrest was stationed in Germany, right,…when he was carrying that atom bomb in his plane?
I would think he was exposed to a lot of German history while he was over there.

        • Lisa, in regards to his family, mother and being left alone

alone is enola backwards, enola gay connecting to atom bomb, and gay being his mother’s middle name, and i think his sister June

    • Chris Yates – So if it’s D-A-W-N we’re talking about, then it’s no break-fast for me! But then why do we need a Pimiento Cheese sandwich and a flashlight? Are we spending the night previously? Dawn is always a good time for Rainbows to be created from the morning mist at Forrest’s favorite fishing hole. Where he probably caught lots of Rainbows, by the way.

      • Chris Yates – Right! Radar School for Forrest. And the color chart . Let’s see,… Red is 2, Orange is 5, Yellow is 4, Blue is 6, Indigo is 7, Green is 3. Did I get that right? I posted that chart once somewhere. Could you please just translate the numbers for me for your acronym? Black was 0 and Brown was 1, right? Do you remember the words for each color that the military men used to create a phrase to remember what each color and number correlation was? I do not, but it did help me to remember them previously.

And I think my primary blaze is located in square one on my topo map, in which case the home of Brown would correspond. Nothing like going back to square one, right?

          (Quote)

        • Chris Yates – OK,…now I am at a computer to do a good Google search. Here’s that info:

          en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronic_color_code

A useful mnemonic matches the first letter of the color code, by order of increasing magnitude. Here are two that includes tolerance codes gold, silver, and none:

Bad beer rots our young guts but vodka goes well – get some now.
          B. B. ROY of Great Britain had a Very Good Wife who wore Gold and Silver Necklace.

The colors are sorted in the order of the visible light spectrum: red (2), orange (3), yellow (4), green (5), blue (6), violet (7). Black (0) has no energy, brown (1) has a little more, white (9) has everything and grey (8) is like white, but less intense.

Found this link also, while I was at it:

          www.military.com/ResourcesSubmittedFiles/Military_Symbols_Guide.pdf

          Scroll down to:

          0107. Colour Representation

Very interesting also. Blue is for friendlies. Important if you are strafing a designated attack area.

          And then, scroll down to:

          0108. Fields

          d. Left. Not more than 4 fields, each of not more than 15 alphanumeric characters.

          Left….and Four.

          And then your ROYGBIV:
          Red-Orange-Yellow-Green-(Black, Brown?)-Indigo-Violet
          234(0,1)567

          • Chris Yates – And that is why the 205 Trail, where decall was nice enough to create a picture of where Forrest and Donnie stood with their horses on their journey, while “Looking for Lewis and Clark”,….is called, by decall and I, the Tea Trail:

            Red-Black-Green

              (Quote)

          • Chris Yates – Rodger Wilco. Then I will take the Red-Back-Violet Trail #207, which is the most direct route to and from my spot on the Cabin Creek Trail. But there is the little tiny issue of My Grizz along the way…and crossing the brave indicum in the form of Cub Creek, which can be quite swollen after the epic snow year we’ve had. Heavy loads and water high for sure! Unless I wait for the date of the Solar Eclipse on August 21st, the day before Forrest’s 87th birthday’. That could take care of both of my caveats I’ve mentioned.

              (Quote)

          • Chris Yeats – And from Square One I can proceed onward to Square Six, which corresponds to the color Indigo. And that little non-indicum creek shouldn’t be so difficult to cross, and it goes by the name, Forest. It’s just missing one little r to be a great memorial to the Man Behind the Curtain, who orchestrated this amazing Chase.

I utilize the same graph that Chris has shown here. In exactly the same portion of the graph, you can see FBF + PEGY directly adjacent “below the home of brown”. Taking it north and left of their SF home one sees the shadow of a “wing on the left” just north of the home. Which also looks like his arrowhead shaped from a toothy omega mound over a dry creek which runs underground.

Ive not heard the following discussed yet…”
“Paw pad” or pa pad is the center or middle of the poem (grid form” and is perhaps the most important location indicator when overlaying maps onto the grid. Valley caldera west of Santa Fe would be the largest scale geologically shaped paw pad I’ve located on GE to indicate where to begin. If course Forrest would also be referencing a different man cave “pa pad” on the Madison River where he and his father enjoyed fishing together without the women folk.

  6. She was an Mescalero Apache that was captured by the Utes as a little girl and raised by the Utes as there own, When i was told the story she was a very old woman and her memory was not as good as it used to be. She was a very young girl when it took place . the Indians let some people into there territory with the agreement that they would not show anyone else how to process the gold . They would show up on an expedition every few years and wait for the thaw in the spring sometimes to early. They would go to a town to have female company and spirits sometimes spending a couple of weeks . Then they would head into the Mountains always in the same direction . One of those years the last one they had, They met some french that had a mine further north and went to help show them how to process their gold without heeding the warnings of the Indians and the agreement not to bring anyone new into the area. When the party left to go show the french what to do they left only a few to guard the camp . The Indians being upset about what was taking place killed the few left behind stole there dynamite and followed them north to the frenchmen camp . Not knowing anything about explosives they set so much of the explosive off that they blew half the mountain down on the camp burying everyone and killing them. The diggings the original bunch had were discovered at a much earlier time when the spaniards were there. I don’t recall anything about any of the clan being German but maybe there were some German decent with the group!
