  1. I am really tired and it has been a long day. I don’t do much physical work but my mind is going 761.2 Miles in 60 minutes and that really puts a strain on me. I don’t talk much when I think but when things don’t go my way I say more than I need to. So, I have 2 things left to do on my list for the year. I think I will get rest before I go on.
My wife and I are planning to be at the Fennboree this year. We had found that there is some good OHV trails in the area. Since I am an out of state and out of my mind driver it will cost me. Permits cost $48 for two years or $18 for 90 days.

  2. astree: Bob,

I understand that there may be historical links, and these may be very interesting avenues to pursue, but I do not believe that they are part of the solve.

No, I am talking about solving the puzzle, and retrieving the prize that Forrest hid. I am 100% serious.

Secondly, a clue is not an answer, but may be used to find an answer.

The ‘typo’ of ‘answer’ vs ‘answers’ has been debated in the past.

Here, to illustrate, that the word ‘a N S W E r (s)’ contains the principal cardinals of the compass rose. And, not saying that is all that Forrest indicated, when he said singular vs plural made no difference.

Incidentally, seeing that “answers” breaks down to NEWS (cardinals) + ARS, latin ART (and “technique”, contrary to ‘guesswork’).

( JC1117 – per your recent, TOO COLD to search – but it is warm enough, inside, to continue to work on the puzzle ? )

One you mentioned, and Forrest has loaded so much into that, it is past incredible.

He puts a personal reveal in there, as one of the main answers, a breadcrumb for the hunter.

    • Hi, Astree,

Yes, I am continuing to work on the puzzle where it’s warm…in between non-jaunts of work…and resting from the same. I do have a lot of work to do for a while. I’m waiting for the early thaw, anyway…not the late thaw, for sure.
When I do have time to work on the puzzle I wish Forrest was standing over my shoulder to tell me when the direction I’m heading is COLD…or WARM…or HOT! HOT! HOT! 🙂 Remember that game which children play? I know that can’t happen, though. That would be too easy.
I wonder if dolphins play similar games. I’m sure they do. I’m jealous of dolphins, sometimes. I wish I could play all the time…but I’m not telling the truth. I’m positive I wouldn’t be the person I am if my life was easy…kind of like Forrest’s observation of the children of the super-rich. “By the sweat of thy brow…” was the command since the beginning. A wise parent knows better than to deprive their children of that lesson.
I can’t remember if it was you, Astree, who asked if I was referencing Jon Bon Jovi when I asked about “JJ’s opinion”. Yes, I was, in fact. This is the song I was referring to:

Did I mention that I had been thinking of “Jason and the Argonauts”,…and the Golden Fleece,…this morning ,…at dawn? I am sure that was a sumptuous gold thing to behold!

Well E, I found lots of ties to mythology in “my” solution that answered many of those questions I asked today. It was very entertaining to see the stories and the tie to the stories in Forrests . I got to learn about how so many things tie to those old stories.

But still no treasure in my hands, so went wrong somewhere! LOL

Now I’ve got another post to ponder. “Serena Blue” sounds great, blue – to – green is my favorite range, especially aquamarine, or possibly emerald.

So that is the (translated) hieroglyphic equivalent of “Queen”? I going to try it again later.

E*: and just add a Reed after that to get me

One more acrostic (caps) – backwards again –

Well, that could be a contender for a favorite color 🙂

    • Astree – Correction: there was a type-O in my Egyptian hieroglyphs designation:

“Queen is: Hillside-Quail Chick-Reed-Reed-Ripple of Water,…and just add a Reed after that to get me”

And I saw the picture of the One Ring,…and I was instantly mesmerized,…but it made me think of Golom and the One Ring,…which he found while fishing in the reed-filled Gladden Fields:

      lotr.wikia.com/wiki/Gladden_Fields

      In Welsh GT,…’gladden’ > ‘rhyng’ > inter/bury

And the One Ring inscription reads:

“One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them”

      en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_Ring

I have an imitation version of that ring,…hanging from a bookmark,…inside of “Dancing at the Rascal Fair”, by Ivan Doig,…which reminds me to *never* speak to the boyfriend,…who was also reading that book,…when I met him,…and who later betrayed my trust. He was a “The Lord of the Rings” aficionado (but I still LOVED the movies,…when I saw them).

          • azuredeb – If you see the movie, “Son of God”,…check out Caiaphas’s high priest’s chest plate,…that had a lot of early stones inlayed in it. I had seen that before,…while doing some research on an old and very long poem,…which is when I took notes from “The Book of Stones”.

Oh,…and Esmeralda specializes in jewelry made from fresh water pearls,…which she was wearing,…when I met her last night at THE restaurant.

        • azuredeb – Well,…I guess I did release some of that pent-up-for-a-whole-lotta-years anger,…when I FINALLY spoke,…to that louse,…last March. I went to a great outdoor concert,…at the base of an awesome mountain,…featuring, “Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real” (Willy Nelson’s son’s band). I saw him standing with his now-third wife,…so I bought him a beer (with that same Maine Coon cat-owning friend, nearby) and handed it to him,…and said “thank you”. What I meant by that,…was that I was thanking him for breaking my trust,…so that I didn’t end of with a guy like him! Ha! The last songs they played that evening were, “Sympathy for the Devil”, by The Rolling Stones,…followed by a rendition of, “Amazing Grace”. Apropos,…don’t you think? ?:-)

    • Astree – I like blue-to-green emeralds myself,…hey,…isn’t there something made with emeralds in TC? Is it a golden cuff bracelet,…like the ones worn in Beowulf’s time,…with maybe a dragon on it? My Latin GT translation of that ’em er ald’ word,…was someting like ‘adulteress relegates’ or ‘adulterated philosophers’. Oh,…and a good friend,…the one with the giant back Maine Coon cat (whose picture,…of him reading something intently,…I will *never* post),…was at THE restaurant last night. She introduced me to one of her featured jewelry artists,…a woman named, Esmeralda. No, really! I did not say, “She gave me water”, to her though. I plan to keep TC in the vault at my friend’s store,…where it will be safe,…until I can bring it to Forrest,…to finally meet him! 🙂

I will try to go through your posts again in a bit. Re: Golden Fleece, I did see a beautiful sunset last night ( as open to sunrise), and noticed this morning, that I had left my Jason binoculars, which I was using the other day, on the table. ( and also am led to understand, that the Golden Fleece has several layers of meaning).

The info on the tracks and lines was very in-depth, that’s what I need to spend more time on.

        • Astree – I loved that dusk picture,…of what could be considered one of The Rolling Stones,…or Moai,…overlooking the replica of the 1855 Chilean Navy steam ship,…the Esmeralda,…with the copper-clad “in the wood” hull. I would like to see that longest, tallest ship at the museum there. And the Anemoi,…who were the offspring of Astraeus and Eos (Dusk and Dawn gods),…controlled the winds,…which probably has influenced the old/new Esmeralda ships,…in their battles and trips to/from Easter Island. And a here is relevant Latin GT progression for Golden Fleece:
Golden Fleece > Aura Tam > Breeze
I’ll bet Jason and the Argonauts knew about that one!

          • Astree – Weird! I was just asking the manager of the Pizza place,…last week,…about Einstein’s Theory of General Relativity,…and how that relates to the speed of light. Thanks for that link to answer that. I got a clear illustration of that concept,…in the movie, “Contact”,…where Jodie Foster’s character goes through all those wormholes. And I skipped straight down,…on that link,…to the Star Trek reference,…and the Warp Drive. I guess going Warp Speed,…would be faster than my F-22 Supersonic Raptor, then? OK,…I guess I’ll fly the Starship Enterprise, then,…as their Second Captain (after “Catarina”).

The skip 3 letters, starting with the first letter give

    TAWS LAKW,

where TAWS has much meaning in its own rite,
    but also contains AT

and but KLAW can be taken as WALK

Oh yes, I think it may be related to that split-trail cipher that Moses followed, up and down the mountain, and cross the red sea.

Sometimes, it’s better to start at the end, and work back to the beginning, sort of like that poem that ARGUS33 posted yesterday.

Let’s see … Forrest uses the initials “ff”, which is the sixth letter, so

      • Astree – Sometimes I read the acronymonial posts you write, and I feel like I am reading Egyptian hieroglyphs,… which I can sort of do now,…after discovering an Egyptian hieroglyph typewriter. Let’s start with the word ‘Queen’, shall we? Because of Ramses II’s Queen,…and her rescue of Moses,…from the savage murder of the first-born Jewish males,…finding him in that river with the reeds. So,…E is denoted as a peaceful Reed,…and Sha is represented as a pool of water with Reeds (when I am in my car,…named “Serena Blue”, …I think of that). FYI that L is Lion and F is Horned Viper (no really!). Queen is: Hillside-Quail-Chick-Reed-Reed-Ripple of Water,…and just add a Reed after that to get me 😉
