  1. Forrest’s response posted on Dal:

I enjoyed Mr. Stone’s well-presented video. He is a far thinker and has a knack for analyzing. There are half a dozen other videos that were made similarly. The treasure remains where I hid it about 7 years ago. It is interesting that the film makers are so positive while leading their viewers to where the treasure chest never was. I compliment all of them and am reminded that it’s all about the thrill of the chase. f

      • Hi, Mary.

If I’m not mistaken I believe this is a link to that video. The very excited narrator somehow links the end of Forrest’s rainbow with Rainbow Blvd. in Salida, Colorado. He has certainly done some homework. πŸ™‚

I know exactly how he feels. I’ve been out a few times myself…knowing exactly where the treasure is…of course…and when I get there the treasure isn’t there! It’s the dangedest thing. lol.

The original video was taken down for some reason…but this one was reposted in August.

        Good luck!

  2. in his response to Perry Stone, f calls him a “far thinker”

f uses odd phrases like this from time to time. in my whole life i dont think ive ever heard someone call someone else a far thinker

dont even know what that would mean. but i think f was alluding he is a “distance” thinker

in the video, Perry refers several times to distances, 15 miles as the crow flies from brown canyon to the supposed treasure spot. 500 feet from the cemetery. 200 feet from something, the bridge i think

so to use that odd phrase, i think it’s done intentionally and pointing out the one thing he’s doing correctly imo. not that the area was right or even any of the distances were right

but i’ve seen f do this before with other searchers with incorrect solves. he will comment in ways that will highlight a way of thinking they had correct

    • Chris – Great thoughts! I also think Forrest focuses when he replies to folks on positive aspects of what they’ve done or written or said to encourage them to proceed further. And also to give a little hint to tell the rest of us what we’re doing right, possibly. If I made the same choice to participate in a treasure hunt that I instigated, I would probably do the same.It makes the whole process a whole lot of fun.

  3. I guess Perry Stone missed f’s comment about not breaking anything. Perry went all in for breaking news.

(Well, that’s a first. I’m in moderation on Mike’s blog.)
Am I in trouble Mike? I can’t imagine that I’m clever enough to say anything that hasn’t already been discussed on your excellent and fun blog.

    • I echo that sediment, Road Hawk.

It’s like someone shone a giant spotlight into the sky showing “TTOTC”…instead of Batman’s symbol…and Mike came flying to the rescue…

      …from out of the night…

      …that covered him. πŸ™‚

      Thanks, Mike!

      • JC1117 – Greetings! Since you mentioned Batman and the giant spotlight, I wanted to let you know that he was a local resident right here in my town of Ketchum, ID, and that I had just met Adam West for the first time recently at a local art gallery showing of his artwork. Sadly, he just passed away at the age of 88.

        • JC1117 – RIP Adam West:

The post on West’s page said: Dear fans, Thank you so much for the ongoing support and love you’ve shown for AW and our family. We’re truly grateful. One of his last requests before he passed was to keep his bright light shining on the world by supporting children who have cancer and their families by donating to the following organizations that were near and dear to his heart:

Since the family put it up, Camp Rainbow Gold has received a steady stream of donations from around the world.

“It’s just this wonderful gesture of people who we don’t even know, but had this love for Batman and what he stood for as an actor and as a philanthropist,” Holzl said.

          • Very Cool, Lisa…or should I say…E*?

We finally meet the Woman Behind the Mask. πŸ™‚

There are a lot of strange things going on in The Chase lately. It’s difficult to make sense of them all.

I did a little work in Sun Valley a while ago. It’s a beautiful town. My time spent there was not relaxing at all. I hope to go back there one day…to relax. I noticed the KMVT 11 video about Adam West’s passing (may he rest in peace) shows the weather for Heyburn. My Grandparents had a home there right on the Snake River. It was fun to fish off the dock in their backyard.

I used to watch the far end of the Burley Regatta from the dock. My grandparents lived a bit further to the right…and across the river…where the speedboats make their far right turn to go around the little island in this video…

That is very noble of Adam West. Thanks for sharing that. It looks like he had his priorities straight…which serves him right…and serves him well. πŸ™‚

            Again…nice to meet you, Lisa.

          • JC1117 – My life is like your X Files Theme video. It is now, and it has been like that for a long time. But it especially got weirder and dicier just before and then very shortly after I joined The Chase, when I saw the NBC Broadcast with Brian Williams and Forrest and The Chase in late February of 2013. I think this is all a journey we are all on, and I know I have learned so much that I would never have learned otherwise. And I am very thankful to Forrest Fenn, Dal, Mike, Jenny and all those who have provided The Chase forum for us, and all of you fine people who have chosen to share here as searchers on the journey together.

And I am so glad to hear you have been here to Sun Valley and have roots in this area. I have lived here for 17 years and I have no intention of leaving. And it is lovely to meet you also. πŸ™‚

  4. an entertaining video presentation

and his solution is fairly straightforward and simple

i have found holes like that, square shaped ones, in places ive searched

    nothing too unusual about it

f will eventually hear about this and see the video if he hasn’t already. if this was the exact spot and the treasure is gone then f would announce it i think

  5. This story is so full of it . I guess some people have more Imagination than common sense. There are so many things missing as far as the clues go it’s pathetic. There’s no smile on the way in and no grin on the way out. Worth the cold doesn’t hold water!!!
